Setting up a jumpstart environment for SPARC systems is a straightforward and simple procedure. Primarily because the the OpenBOOT prom supports the bootp protocol. A PC has a BIOS instead of a BootPROM and does not necessarily support the bootp protocol. Most modern BIOS support the PXE boot protocol instead.
